Armadillos can wreak havoc on your landscaping. This picture shows how they have dug up the mulch beds around the trees. On this same property, they dug a large hole next to the foundation in an attempt to create a den site.Armadillos are primarily an insect eater and must dig up a lot of insects to feed their voracious appetite. When their is more than one of these hanging around your house, they can make your lawn and landscaping look like it was run through a shredder!
Control of the Armadillos is normally done through a controlled trapping program. In many areas of the country they can be captured and relocated.
I would have to say, of all of the wildlife that I have came in contact with, this has to be the most unique thing I have ever seen!
